We design and make kitchenware, tableware and furniture that earn their place in a home — through use, not trend.

What we hold to

    Use before trend

    We test every piece in a real kitchen for months before it reaches you. If it does not get better with use, it does not get made.

  2. 02

    Named makers

    Each piece carries the name of the workshop that made it. We pay fairly, order steadily and visit often.

  3. 03

    Built to be repaired

    Spare parts, re-oiling kits and a repair service for all our furniture. Ten-year structural warranty as standard.

The workshop

Every new piece is prototyped in our Hangzhou studio, used in our own kitchen for at least three months, then refined with the maker who will produce it. Small batches, named makers, no shortcuts.

How we got here

  1. 2016

    A two-person workshop in Hangzhou makes its first batch of 60 ash serving boards.

  2. 2018

    First stoneware collection with a family pottery in Jingdezhen.

  3. 2021

    The Oak dining table and Spindle chair launch our furniture line.

  4. 2024

    Showroom opens in Hangzhou; stockists in 24 countries.

  5. 2026

    38 artisan partners, and the same question for every new piece.
